When We Learn by Doing, Magic Happens — Our Experiential Sprint in Genova

What happens when you bring together a project team, teachers from across Europe, a room full of tools, and the g4g belief that anything is possible? You get a day in Genova that none of us will forget.

In February 2026, all partners of the EITIC project gathered in Italy — each bringing a teacher from their home country and network — for a full day of testing, experimenting, laughing, debugging, imagining, and learning side‑by‑side. The goal? To put our newly developed experiential learning tools through the ultimate test: using them ourselves.
Because at greenlight for girls, we don’t just design experiential learning. We live it.
So yes — we walked Grace Hopper’s Debug Maze blindfolded. We pitched wild new business ideas in Pitch Perfect Planet. We designed sustainable futures for a town in Greece in Dreaming Up Your City Block. We explored our own career pathways in Full STEAM Ahead. And we did it all the way we hope teachers will do it with their students: collaboratively, playfully, courageously, and with a healthy dose of curiosity.
And what did we discover?

✨ The tools worked exactly as we hoped. They sparked creativity, collaboration, and new ways of thinking — even among adults who had just met.
✨ The teachers became co‑creators. They tested, questioned, adapted, and imagined how these tools could transform their classrooms.
✨ The project team became the learners. We experienced firsthand the power of stepping into uncertainty, trying something new, and learning through movement, storytelling, and experimentation.
✨ The pedagogy proved itself. Our STEM+Design approach — hands-on, human-centered, joyful — created instant connection across cultures, languages, and disciplines.
It was, in many ways, a case within a case: We developed experiential tools because we believe this is how we inspire young people into STEM. And we tested them in the most g4g way possible — by diving in ourselves.
This gathering in Genova was a milestone for the EITIC project and a celebration of what happens when educators, innovators, and dreamers come together with a shared mission.
And now… 🎉 The tools are being launched very soon. We can’t wait to share them with teachers everywhere.
Until then, we carry the energy of Genova with us — the laughter in the Debug Maze, the bold ideas in the city‑building challenge, the sparks of possibility in every conversation.
Because when we learn by doing, magic happens. And when we do it together, anything is possible.
